Vittana is a nonprofit with an ambitious goal - we want to change the face of education across the world. We believe that 100 million students worldwide are leaving school before they have the skills and degrees needed to get stable, lifelong employment. At the same time, there are estimates that nearly two-thirds of the young people in developing countries are unemployed or underemployed. The missing link between these two problems is a basic student loan. Vittana creates student loans in partnership with microfinance organizations to meet this need. Today, we have 30 microfinance partners in 15 countries serving over 15,000 students.
